Anonymous, is that home still in the family? We "toured" it in 2015 after my nephew got permission from the owner. Amazing place, with so much intact; I was most taken by the well outside. My nephew lived just below the hill where the six Texans and one Alabamaian are buried, fresh flags on each grave.

DeleteYes, that's one of many stories about the war in that area. People were very passionate about the issues of those times.
